We have a Departmental web server that is used as Internet access for students enrolled for Computer Science or Information System modules. This is a very specific server, set up and maintained to host webpages for our degree modules as well as our certificate courses. The purpose of this server is to offer access to module information. It does not offer student administration services. Certificate course students access this server through the following URL: http://www.cs-cert.unisa.ac.za. itself for very specific module information. Students who are interested in a degree can access our server at: http://osprey.unisa.ac.za.
Unisa also has other web servers. One of these servers, namely the SOL server (Students On-Line at https://sol.unisa.ac.za) is a very important server to all enrolled students with Internet Access. SOL provides student administration services, so students can, for example, do electronic submissions of assignments, or check their study records, examination results, et cetera. For more information on the SOL server, please see your SERVICES AND PROCEDURES BOOKLET.
The main Unisa server can be found at http://www.unisa.ac.za.
From this server students can access services such as general calendar information,
the library, et cetera.
